Join the fun at Bradley Stoke Community School as Engage 2007 climaxes with the
Festival of Culture.
Food, music, dance, drama, performances, crafts, have-a –go taster sessions, information and displays
all combine to show-off the wealth of cultures that are thriving in South Gloucestershire.
The biggest problem for visitors will be fitting it all in!
The event is FREE and has been planned to cater for all ages and tastes.

• Activity Zones
The festival is not just about watching others in
action, but having a go yourself. A full programme of
workshops is running all day, for a chance to discover
and experience something new.

• The Youth Zone
This area is dedicated to young people, aged
between 11 and 25yrs. The Kingswood Bus Project
will be present to work with young people in
developing ideas and participating in activities and
will also provide information and advice.

• Young People and Children
The programme has been put on with families and
children in mind so most activities will be suitable for
all ages.

• Creche
A crèche for under 5’s is available at the Leisure
Centre from 10am till 4pm. Limited places are on a
first come first served basis and are for 50 minutes.

• Eco Active Zone
Get stuck in to a wide variety of free environmental
themed activities for people of all ages, providing
fun opportunities to learn about climate change and
how small changes can make a big difference to the
planet. Learn about everything from reducing home
energy use and renewable energy, to composting,
recycling, road safety and the opportunity to build
your own nest box!
Have a go at working locally sourced timber, make
your own natural pencil, help plant a community
orchard, order a locally grown Christmas Tree, and
visit the fabulous Forest of Avon Wish Tree and leave
your climate change wish for the future!

• The Food Zone
The Food Zone offers the chance to discover
flavours and cookery from around the world, with an
emphasis on healthy eating. The Food Zone will also
host tasters, displays, food games and local food.
